We moved to the Roan Mountain area in 2020 to escape the city life and enjoy the serenity of the mountains. We want to share the beauty with others by offering our rental house as well as our private RV camp site to stay and experience all Roan Mountain has to offer. We"re excited for you to make great memories.

About Our Private RV Lot
Come explore the Roan Mountain area and camp on your own private RV camping site. Our property is set up with electrical, water and sewer hookups for one RV. Amenities include a fire pit and charcoal grill, as well as Wi-Fi. The RV campsite is surrounded by trees and has a beautiful creek that runs through it. We are just minutes from Roan Mountain State park and the Appalachian Trail that offer many hikes and beautiful views. We are also close proximity to Banner Elk, Boone, Bristol, Johnson City and many other exciting locations that offer hiking, fishing, snow skiing and tubbing, antique shopping, golfing, ATV riding and zip lines, vineyards, Watauga Lake, Grandfather Mountain, rafting, exploring the caverns, Bristol races, area festivals, and much more.

About The Roan Retreat
Welcome to our cozy cottage set on 14 acres of quiet, secluded land in the beautiful Appalachian Trail community of Roan Mountain, TN. Enjoy the sights and sounds of wildlife as you sit on the front porch and take in the peaceful nature all around. Spend time just relaxing or jump into the many activities near by including hiking, fishing, snow skiing and tubbing, antique shopping, golfing, ATV riding and zip lines, vineyards, Watauga Lake, Grandfather Mountain, rafting, exploring the caverns, Bristol races, area festivals, and much more. We are just minutes from Roan Mountain State park and the Appalachian Trail that offer many hikes and beautiful views. We are also close proximity to Banner Elk, Boone, Bristol, Johnson City and many other exciting locations with lots to do and see.
Our cottage sleeps 4 comfortably with a queen bed in the master bedroom and a full bed in the second bedroom. The family room is the perfect place to gather and relax while watching our smart TV, playing games, or working on a puzzle. Phone and TV are through Wi-Fi only and work off of ViaSat satellite. The Kitchen is fully equipped, or if you would rather grill, we have a gas grill right outside on the porch. For dessert feel free to cozy up by the firepit and make some yummy smores while enjoying late night chats or even some fire side songs. We love our animals and know that pets are part of the family, so pets are allowed.
All seasons are beautiful here and we hope that your stay is full of great memories and a time of renewal and relaxation.
